Are we crazy for doing this?

Ever get that nagging feeling, that little voice whispering, “Are we crazy for doing this?” when you think about packing up your life and hitting the road to worldschool your child?

I heard that voice loud and clear.

That initial fear? It's been replaced by a profound sense of freedom while worldschooling. Freedom from rigid schedules, from filling my daughter’s head with the nonsense they taught her at school.

Now, her learning is driven by her passions and creativity, blossoming in ways I never could have imagined within four classroom walls. She's diving deep into candy making, exploring ancient history firsthand in Athens, learning Dutch by chatting with fellow worldschoolers.

This isn't just education; it's a way of life that's allowing her to grow into her true self: confident, curious, and free to explore what she loves.

And what about me as a parent? I’m not just a facilitator; I’m a fellow explorer. We're both shedding the layers of consumerism that once felt so necessary, finding a deeper connection with each other and with nature's rhythms, and living more authentically than ever before.

One of the most unexpected gifts of this journey has been the incredible community we've found. We're meeting like-minded families from all corners of the globe: people who value experiences over possessions, connection over conformity.

These are friendships we cherish, a support system that understands this unconventional path because they're walking it too. That feeling of isolation you might fear? It dissolves into a sense of belonging you never knew existed.

So, if that little voice of doubt is whispering in your ear, know that it's normal. But also know that on the other side of that fear lies an extraordinary world of growth, connection, and freedom.

It's a chance to witness your child thrive in their own unique way, to rediscover your own passions, and to create a life that truly resonates with your family's values.

Are we crazy? Maybe a little by today’s society’s standard. But we’re no longer willing to live by someone else’s rules.

It's the kind of crazy that has led us to a life richer, more meaningful, and more authentic than we ever thought possible.

So heck yeah, we are proud to be crazy!
